263 Tuberculosis of the Bile Duct: A Rare Cause of Obstructive Jaundice

Abstract Tuberculosis (TB) is a very rare cause of biliary stricture that difficult to diagnose and usually requires surgical intervention in order rule out underlying malignant etiology. A 28-years old woman with obstructive jaundice, who was originally thought have cholangio-carcinoma. Diagnosis tuberculosis made on PCR testing bile. Patient started antitubercular treatment, she responded well. This case presented common bile duct due tuberculosis. an important condition because early recognition prompt treatment results complete resolution. Even though endemic areas, it should be considered as differential diagnosis investigated, can potentially curable.
